Keyword:
Keyword:
Keyword:
Heading+

The increase in Internet-capable digital devices and availability of computers in general has taken a toll on the traditional books, magazines and newspapers on paper. Will print copies disappear completely with the passage of time?
(2) Internet-capable
(3) Availability

(5) With the passage of time 随着时间的流逝
In nearly all appearances, traditional copies in ink are likely to become extinct and move to digital form in the near future. Print has been facing a steady decrease in readership, as nowadays people are accustomed to getting information at the touch of a key or screen. Particularly, the newer generations have been brought up with the access to information via computers and other digital media devices. Meanwhile, most of the adult population may also discover the convenience of finding information online. As the Internet contains an endless supply of information that allows users to learn about whatever subject they want to know by simply using a search engine, it seems that there is no need for physical copies any more.
(2) To become extinct
(3) Be accustomed to...
(5) Via 通过
(6) Search engine
While the digital revolution is changing the way people read for information, print is still a worthwhile option even in this digital world. There remain readers who feel a need for printed books, magazines and newspapers on paper. For one thing, they find reading on paper more enjoyable than reading on computers and digital devices, and the printed information more reliable. Besides, compared with the electronic version, printed books, newspapers and magazines can provide a more emotional connection with the reader, allowing a deeper understanding of and engagement with the written words. In short, having a printed copy, be it a book, magazine or newspaper, is likely a more enjoyable and trusted way of obtaining information than its digital counterpart.
(2) Option 选择
(3) Compared with... 与......相比
(4) Engagement
(5) Be it A, B, or C... C (=whether it is A, B, or C)
(6) Counterpart
In conclusion, when it comes to getting information, the Internet is killing printed books, magazines and newspapers. As a result, print is gradually down but not yet entirely out.
